For over 25 years, the Ruth Young Center for Families and Children has partnered with the Maryland Department of Human Resources and with local agencies. Public policy research for welfare and child support programs has been a primary focus of our work. We strive to assist management, front-line staff, legislators, and advocates in meeting the many challenges associated with implementing and evaluating welfare and child support programs. In addition to research, we support our partners with training and information services that shape and enhance policies and program for Maryland's families.
